This ICU will be the biggest in state government hospitals, high officials asked for status report
Gurugram. The largest ICU in the government hospitals of the state is being prepared in the civil hospital of Gurugram. About 70 per cent work has been completed in the new block being prepared with 100 beds in the newly constructed building near the civil hospital.
In this new block, an ICU will be prepared on an entire floor. This ICU with 32 beds will be bigger than all the district civil hospitals in Haryana state. It is targeted to be completed in January 2024. The status report of the construction of this five-storey building being constructed on 1.5 acres has been sought by higher officials.
Cyber City is also known as Medical Hub. Many renowned private sector hospitals are here. This is the reason why patients from abroad also come here for their treatment. Now the government hospital of the district is also going to register its name in this area of the medical hub. A block of 100 beds has been prepared for special treatment of serious patients in the hospital premises.
Sheetla Mata Medical College is under construction
In this five-storey building, one floor will be dedicated for ICU patients. Due to this, serious high blood pressure, serious infections and serious accident patients will get treatment in the district hospital itself. Their real time monitoring can be done. The procurement of equipment for the hospital for examining the patients will start after the construction of the building.
This project was approved for construction in the year 2021. The Public Works Department (PWD) is currently carrying out the responsibility of building construction. The health authority is preparing to start this building with ICU facility from next year. Deputy Medical Superintendent of the hospital Neeraj Yadav said that the construction work of the new block is going on.
When target is to complete its work
The target is to complete its work in January 2024 next year. A 32-bed ICU floor will also be built in it. Apart from the civil hospital located in Sector 10, a 700-bed super specialty civil hospital will be ready on the civil line in the district.
The Public Works Department is engaged in preliminary preparations for the construction of the new building. Earlier, a 400-bed government hospital was to be built here. Its capacity has been increased to 700 beds. On the other hand, Sheetla Mata Medical College is under construction in Kherki Majra, Sector 102. It is estimated to cost an average of 700 crores.
